DEVELOPING VARIOUS NEW WRITING PROJECTS

In 2018, I wrote and performed in my original play, The Man Says Nothing. Little did I know that would go on to be the last thing I would write for about six years. I'll admit: over time, I started to massively lose my confidence with my writing, at times thinking I would never go back to it. However, fast-forward to today and I am currently working on three different pieces.

Co-writing Contradicktion definitely helped the urge to write to return to me I think. It also felt like a safe writing space, as I wasn't on my own. However, I started finding that I had a real thirst to tell some stories that really matter to me again and so I started putting pen to paper and fingers to keys to try and make them come to life. One is a one-man-show (hmm... I wonder who will be the cast); one is a two-hander, which is very different to anything I have written in time gone by; and one is a much larger project that, between you and me, may be better served as a series for television rather than for stage. For now at least, I'm just enjoying the journey of bringing these projects to life bit-by-bit.

I really hope to share these projects with you soon and have quite a few plans in place, if all of the jigsaw pieces fit nicely, to get them up and in front of you as soon as 2025, or perhaps 2026. When that happens, I hope you enjoy experiencing them as much as I'm enjoying putting them all together!

ACCESS: A black and white photo of Aidan wearing a t-shirt, with a checked overshirt and black skinny jeans. He stands in an empty carpeted room with a wall-mounted television and a small table in the background, with a floor-to-ceiling window behind him. He is gesticulating with his right arm, explaining something. He holds a laptop with the other.
